CEREC CROWNS
More Than Just a Crown
A dental crown should restore more than the appearance of a damaged tooth. It should fit comfortably, function naturally and blend with your smile.
Traditional crowns often involve physical impressions, laboratory fabrication and multiple appointments. CEREC technology streamlines this process by allowing your tooth to be digitally scanned, designed and milled in the clinic.
At Aesthetic Advanced Dental, we use digital technology and careful treatment planning to create restorations suited to your tooth, bite and individual needs.

Experienced Care, Personalised Treatment
Every smile is different. Our dental team evaluates your teeth, bite and overall oral health to develop an orthodontic treatment plan suited to your individual needs.
From conventional braces to clear aligners, we focus on careful treatment planning, regular monitoring and a comfortable experience throughout your orthodontic journey.
Clear guidance. Careful planning. Continuous monitoring.
Care That Goes Beyond the Crown
RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY, WITH YOU IN MIND
Getting a crown is only one part of restoring a damaged tooth. We focus on understanding the condition of your tooth, protecting its remaining structure and creating a restoration that fits comfortably into your bite.
With CEREC technology, many suitable cases can be completed in a single visit, reducing the need for temporary crowns and additional appointments.
Technology with a purpose
Digital dentistry helps make crown treatment more precise, efficient and convenient.
CEREC uses digital scanning and computer-aided design to create a detailed digital model of your tooth.
Your crown can then be designed to match the shape, size and position required for your smile and bite.
Once the design is finalised, an in-house milling unit creates the crown from a high-quality ceramic block. The restoration can then be tried in, adjusted and bonded into place during the same visit where clinically appropriate.
This digital workflow can reduce the need for traditional physical impressions, temporary crowns and a separate laboratory appointment.
Modern technology supports the treatment — but clinical judgement remains at the centre of every recommendation.

OUR APPROACH
A Better Way to Restore Your Smile
Thoughtful treatment planning, digital precision and careful attention to detail — from your first consultation to your final crown.
01.
Assess
We examine the condition of your tooth, surrounding tissues and bite to determine whether a crown is the right solution.
02.
Scan & Design
We digitally scan the tooth and create a customised crown design based on its shape, size, position and your bite.
03.
Mill & Fit
The crown is milled from a ceramic block and carefully tried in, adjusted and fitted for a comfortable and natural-looking result.
04.
Restore & Care
Once the crown is bonded into place, we check your bite and provide guidance on maintaining your restoration for the long term.
Recovery & Long-Term Care
A well-fitted crown should feel like part of your natural smile.
Most patients can return to their normal routine immediately after a CEREC crown appointment. You may experience some temporary sensitivity after treatment, particularly if the tooth has undergone extensive preparation.
Your crown should be cared for much like your natural teeth. Regular brushing, flossing and routine dental check-ups help protect the restoration and the surrounding tooth and gums.
Although ceramic crowns are designed for durability, they are not indestructible. Avoiding habits such as biting very hard objects and following your dentist’s maintenance recommendations can help extend the life of your restoration.
With proper care, a well-planned crown can provide reliable function and an attractive appearance for many years.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a same-day CEREC crown appointment take?
The total appointment time depends on the tooth and complexity of the case. In many suitable cases, scanning, design, milling, fitting and bonding can be completed in a single visit.
Does a CEREC crown look natural?
Yes. CEREC crowns are designed to match the shape, size and appearance of your surrounding teeth. Your dentist will also check the fit, shade and overall appearance before the crown is permanently bonded.
Is a CEREC crown as strong as a traditional crown?
CEREC crowns are made from dental ceramic materials designed for restorative use. Their suitability depends on the tooth being treated, the material selected, your bite and the clinical requirements of the case.
Do I need a temporary crown with CEREC?
One of the advantages of the CEREC workflow is that suitable cases can often be completed in a single visit, meaning a temporary crown may not be necessary.
How long does a CEREC crown last?
The lifespan of a crown depends on factors such as the tooth’s condition, bite forces, oral hygiene and maintenance. With proper care and regular dental check-ups, a well-made crown can provide reliable service for many years.
